Just Plain Ruff Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Global warming - is it truth or fiction? Or is it just inconvenient?
spenac Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Wow here we go again. Global warming may be part of earths natural cycle or it could be caused by cow farts mixed with all us human polluters. Time will tell.
Just Plain Ruff Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 But I did get the other thread back on topic for you.
Scaramedic Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 But I did get the other thread back on topic for you. Thank you.
spenac Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Thank you. Yes thank you. Really though every scientific study you read or hear about seems to be slanted towards that persons previously known opinion. I do personally feel our wasteful polluting ways of life are causing damage to earth.
AnthonyM83 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Ah, no more! It could be fact or fiction, but consequences if it's fact are too great to dismiss. If it ends up being fiction, then we've still done nothing but good for the earth and our progeny. Win-win!
Just Plain Ruff Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 that's a good point Anthony. I agree somewhat but I don't agree with those who say that Man is the chief cause of it.
Just Plain Ruff Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Another very true statement Anthony but I'm not going to radically change my lifestyle which could cost me mega bucks to fall into the lines of what some global warming advocates say we should do. I can recycle cans, paper and other stuff. I can get a hybrid (which will be the next car I get) I can drive less and burn less electricity but when having to conform eats into my standard of living I'm going to have to draw the line at that.
AnthonyM83 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 What more are they asking on the personal level? The government level is different...other countries agreed to the Kyoto Treaty...they seem to think it's worth it.
