CROCS invade hospitals and nursing homes in Germany

Neither are tennis shoes, which are commonly seen in the HOSPITAL environment, which is what I believe was being discussed here.... If I've got a choice between getting my nice tennies puked on where the puke soaks in and can't be cleaned easily, or the equally lacking in protection Crocs that can be dunked in bleach quickly, I'm going for the Crocs...

Oh gosh, out here everyone has them and I mean everyone. You'll see surgeons, nurses, physicians, administration staff, stockers. Everyone wears them. I find that ridiculous because technically if you are wearing these and you were to get hurt while at work, WCB will not cover you as your footwear is considered an open shoe and a safety hazard.

But there *are* crocs that are fully closed shoes! That's the thing... and many people wear those on the job, giving them full coverage...

My wife actually has some that are dress shoes. People think they are just regular flat dress shoes, they have no idea they are comfortable easy clean up shoes. Nothing fancy but practical. Something like these:

Nope medical staff here just don't like those and rarely wear them.

My crocs are solid, no holes in them, although they are open on the heel with a strap to use if needed. I love them. I am on my feet for 8 hours a day and they are the only things that I can wear that I can still walk when I get off work and drive home, after having tried every brand of work shoe, athletic shoe, you name it, my feet would hurt so bad that I could hardly get out of the car when I got home. Now they don't.
