IV Paracetamol in EMS

Sorry I know this is an old thread.

Our Critical care paramedics are using IV paracetamol either as a stand alone analgesia or as part of Morphine/paracetamol combination therapy. It's good stuff.

Yep, it's synergetic with opiates which then leads to less of the opiate being required. Particularly good in the elderly without a history of hepatic disease.

I thought that this study is timely and pertinent.

Paracetamol / Tylenol has one of the highest incidents of use and abuse.
