Dustdevil Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 "A little warm" isn't particularly helpful. Did we get a temp? Anything significant noted on oral exam? Lesions or glossal oedema/displacement? Did she have any procedure done for the abscess, other than the Augmentin? Any headache? The drooling is significant, as is her reluctance to speak. Any more info on why she perfers not to talk? This doesn't sound like dyspnea interfering with speaking. Sounds like something else.

Her tongue seemed to be pushed forward. JUst meds for abscess. No headache just the chest pain and back pain. Your pt does not give a reason why she will not talk just that she drools when she does.
