Whenever we made a long distance Interstate transfer we would make a collect call to see if there were somewhere else we needed to go. If there wasn't we would not accept the call. But if the driver had a problem they would call right back. Well, Bill called right back. All we heard by the boss, "Oh, sh!t. Oh, sh!t! What do you mean, you think you think your ankle is broke? You're an EMT!"

Evidently he was re-ended in St.Louis. No patient on board.
