Wehn you do come over let me know and my wife and I will put you up in our cottage in cornwall and you can do a few ridalongs on the RRV in Penzance. It will give you insight into ECP work and the impac that a fluid treat and release policy can have in reducing ER admissions.

Hey thanks Mike, very much appreciated.

As a geographical outsider, I have been following the development of the ECP with great interest for some time now. I also think a well known Doctor and Author (who has been known to post here) has too :wink:

Very interesting to see how much room there is for expansion when you look out of the "you call, we haul" mentality.

You and I know though, that the ECP could never work in the states. CCP? Yes (within the limitations of having a physician extender model) but not ECP ](*,) More is the pity.

That Doctor wouldn't be a certain Dr Crippin would it?

Old subject I know but it raises an interesting point, GPs are refusing to work because patients have the flu.

When I was in Richmond VA Jerry Overton expressed a keen interest in the ECP role and was looking in to getting something similar up and running. He has now left and Chip Decker is now interim CEO so I don't know what will happen. It imagine it would probably be difficult over in the US due to billing/med insurance etc.
