EMS49393 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I was lucky enough to see George Carlin perform some 14 or 15 years ago in the DC area. Roughly 3 minutes into his show I wished I'd had on some adult diapers. He was not only funny, he was brilliant. There only two comedians I like, and he was certainly one of them. His wit and talent will be missed.
firedoc5 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Saw where George is going to receive the Mark Twain Award for American Humor. It's the highest award for any humorist. They say it was already decided before he passed away and that he hadn't been informed of it yet. Too bad he won't be here to receive it.

Lone Star Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 It's nice to see that Al Sleet is still trying to apologize to the former residents of Rogers, OK
ConstanceGoodheart Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Yes, we lost another great entertainer...Sunday night/Monday morning Lone and I were playing Youtube videos of Mr. Carlin in homage.
