Protocol and how due you keep the saline solution at 39.2 F?

Our Medical Director is considering it. I know Wake County EMS is doing it presently.

In Wake Co. the supervisor's vehicle contain electric coolers that maintain the temperature.

We also use a refridgerator in the ambulance, the Engel 17. We keep our fluids at 4C.

i have heard this being done years ago during cardiac surgery and other proceedures, apparently with much better results than expected in most outcomes.
