itku2er Posted July 24, 2008 Author Posted July 24, 2008 I'm assuming that was the SPO2 upon the staff finding the patient. I doubt they left her like that. It's easy for us to trash the folks at extended care facilities, but we don't work in an environment where 30 to 1 is considered an acceptable patient - provider ratio. I'm not saying that bad care doesn't happen, but Itku2er already told us she was the nurse at the facility and I think we can agree that she's smarter than the average bear. Thank you Doug   But forgot to mention I am grumpier than the average bear
dougd Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 But forgot to mention I am grumpier than the average bear  That sort of goes with the territory...
spenac Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 That sort of goes with the territory... Grumpy was not the word that came to my mind.

Kaisu Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 for what it is worth. a friend of mine and er doc. told me a common s/s of pe.. calf pain.. not baby cow either. ha calf pain indicates a thrombosis NOT an embolism.
streetsurgeon Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 thanks for clearing that up. i guess even docs are wrong once in a while.
