Jonny Carson, on the (Pre-Jay Leno version) "Tonight" Show, did a version of that, before Sesame Street even came on the air.

He took the noisemaker from a CooCoo Clock, and "sensored" kids rhymes.

Jack and Jill went up the hill to ("CooCoo")

Jack fell down and broke his ("CooCoo")

and Jill ("CooCoo")("CooCoo")("CooCoo")!

Ok so I know the muppets and seasamie street are two different shows but all I have to say is...

Doo doo da doo doo, Muh-nam-in-nah, doo doo da doo

Anyone remember Jim Henson (who is one of my heros) having Muppets on the first season of Saturday Night Live? He did a lot of adult stuff too, especially before Sesame Street.

Some Muppets were created and used during the first season of SNL.

I was not able to watch, when they replayed episode 1, from season 1, as tribute to George Carlin, after he died.
