firedoc5 Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Who? What? Me? Where? Sorry, couldn't resist. I know, 20,000 comedians out of work and I'm trying to be funny on a non-funny issue. I'm punchy this morning.
Kaisu Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Phase III clinical trials of the drug (bapineuzumab) started in December of 2007, with final results expected to be published in December of 2010. It is interesting in that the drug is an antibody that hopefully will bind to and clear out the protein that is found in the brains of dementia patients. I think it may be the first drug to get to phase III for the treatment of demetias and certainly holds out a lot of hope.
