Quebec paramedic has been killed in a crash

** A Maniwaki, Quebec paramedic has been killed in a crash with a stolen vehicle near Bouchette. Le Journal de Montreal (August 3) said the accident, which occurred early yesterday morning, was a head-on collision. The EMS worker has been identified as Marilou Dubois. Extrication crews took one hour to remove Dubois from the wreckage;she died a short time later at Maniwaki Hospital. Responding crews, who knew Dubois, are receiving counselling support. PNN will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

Marie lou was a collegue of mine and a good friend. she will be missed by all of us.

To clarify the information posted, marie lou, 29 years of age, was on her way to work a paramedic shift in Maniwaki, Quebec.

She was about 20 minutes from arriving to the paramedic station when an unknown person, that had just stolen a car, hit her vehicle with a head on collision. He ran away from the scene, apparently injured, and had not yet been located by the police.

Marie-lou had been working as a paramedic for the last 6 months. She was also a qualified advanced emergency medical dispatcher for our company.
