Just Plain Ruff Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 so how did it prepare you better than college? You are going to get a lot of differing opinions on that statement you made.
EMS Solutions Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Buckle up - it's gonna be a bumpy thread
Dustdevil Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 i was a combat medic for 12 years in the army. prepared me for civi paramedicine and fire dept. better than any college could. Wrong. I too was a combat medic, as well as a civilian paramedic for three decades. And I didn't have a clue how inadequate I was until I went back and got a college education. You won't either. In fact, I would bet that a two minute discussion with you about pathophysiology or pharmacology would reveal that in painful clarity. And what has firefighting got to do with any of this? Do you get a lot of patients who are on fire?
AnthonyM83 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 And what has firefighting got to do with any of this? Do you get a lot of patients who are on fire?Ooohhhh, maaaaan, hahaha. Ooooh, I'm gonna sit back for this one. BTW, welcome. Don't let our humor or (*insert good adjective here*) opinions on EMS scare you ff.
