Wouldn't JVD be another factor in determining Hemo vs Pneumo?

JVD as well as trach deviation are late signs. If you let your patient get to that point you have missed something during a proper exam.

EXTREMELY late signs. In fact, tracheal deviation is barely even noticeable on examination in most of even the worst pneumos. But it is much more noticeable in a CXR, and usually you'll see it in the CXR and wonder, "how the Hell did I miss that?" It's just rarely noticeable externally.
