A buddy of mine at work mentioned to me about a month ago a flashlight that he saw in the JEMS magazine. I guess the major feature was an extremely quick charge time- something like 90 seconds from zero to fully charged? Anyways I was thinking about getting it for him for Christmas, but I can't find this flashlight anywhere. I dont know anything about it except what I wrote above, which is part of the problem. Anyone remember JEMS covering a fast-charge flashlight within the past few issues?

How the hell do you prove that it will last for 130 Years?

$170... Get one of the lights that you shake and voila, it works again.

I remember the advertisment from JEMS... the one that crotchity posted is the right light.

:twisted:It would have had to have been made at least 130 years ago for them to know that!!!

I like the fast charge, but I think I'll just keep extra batterys with me till the price comes down. Plus if I need the flashlight probably have no way to recharge at the moment anyway.

my AA maglite with the LED bulb upgrade from NiteIze is the business. Put them into all my AA maglites got them cheap from US ebay. Use them regularly and the batteries last for ages.

I heartily do not recommend those "shake to power" flashlights. All these years after the big blackout, and my wrist is still tired from trying to keep that damn thing lit!
