firedoc5 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Unfortunately this happens with the helo. services working for oil companies. A buddy of mine worked off shore for many years and almost didn't make it on one trip. The helo almost went down a few miles from where they were suppose to land coming back from a platform. They did make it but only barely. The pilot was outstanding. My heart goes out to those families that lost loved one's.
FormerEMSLT297 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Yes it happens,, and there goes the theory at 2 pilots arebetter than 1 ... This A/c had a pilot and co-pilot on board. obviously what ever happened, that did not help to mitigate it.
CTXMEDIC Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 when your bird breaks it doesnt matter if you have 15 pilots or 1. BTW, this isnt limited to oil companies.
