akflightmedic Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Florida is a big state. AnyWHERE in particular?
MSBMEDIC Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 i'm a non-union worker and not a fan of being employed by a gov.( town, city, county) that employs union workers, like most do. looking for independent company(for profit) that if has a contract with a goverment, ok, but not where i sit inside a fire house and forced to jerk off union guys while listening to there b.s. storys of heroics.
p3medic Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Well, if jerking off management sounds like a better plan...
MSBMEDIC Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 you know what i'm trying to get at, private vs. fire side. once again whats up in florida, tampa bay area?
crotchitymedic1986 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Unions arent big in the south. I would be real careful about who you choose in this economy, lots of services are going to go under or merge this year. If you have a DUI or criminal record that prevents fire employment and you have to have a private, I would stay away from AMR.
MSBMEDIC Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 hey canadian prick, i'm not a criminal, just looking for simplicity, but you canadian pricks dont understand that do you?.
VentMedic Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 hey canadian prick, i'm not a criminal, just looking for simplicity, but you canadian pricks dont understand that do you?. You do realize Florida is the Winter home for a lot of Canadians? Even though Florida is a "Right to Work" state, EMS is largely Fire Based. It will be difficult to avoid FDs and unions. We already have more attitude, including my own, in Florida than we know what to do with. What is your 2nd option for a state to relocate to?
reaper Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 If you want non union or non fire based, then you need to stay to the north of the state.
