crotchitymedic1986 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 In a presidential election ? According to this source, US citizens do not have a right to vote, and there are several other "rights" that are not mentioned in the constitution: http://www.usconstitution.net/constnot.html
Just Plain Ruff Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 No where in the constitution does it say anyone has the Right to vote. I can't find it anywhere. All those disinfranchised voters in the south and in florida do not have the automatic right to vote. In colonial times only those men who were landholders could vote if I remember right. There is no Constitutional right to vote. Don't let anyone tell you differently But if you listen to all those liberals like al shrapton, jesse "i want to cut your dick off" Jackson and Maxine "My water Broke" Waters, it seems that the constitution does give people a right to vote. Don't believe em.
JPINFV Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The are proscribed methods of deciding who determines elections, but the nuts and bolts of who can vote are left to the states. Also, technically speaking, we don't elect presidents, we elect electors to the electoral college and it is they who vote for the president.
WolfmanHarris Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I do have the right to vote under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms of Canada. Democratic Rights 3. Every citizen of Canada has the right to vote in an election of members of the House of Commons or of a legislative assembly and to be qualified for membership therein.
