WelshMedic Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/...3-Year-Old.html This tragic accident must be our collective worst nightmare. My thoughts go out to everyone invollved. (Please take time to read the comments underneath the article..they are enlightening). WM
Dustdevil Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 It's a completely unpredictable world out there. There is no such thing as "safe enough". Anything can happen. One comment says that the truck that caused the accident ran over the child, not the fire engine, as was reported. Not that it changes the ultimate outcome, but I do hope that this is true, for the sake of the engineer. I had a little kid run out in front of my engine once, and we missed him by inches. Just that bothered me for a long time, and I learned a valuable lesson from it.
ninjaemtff Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those involved. Dust I agree with you. It's a tragedy no matter how you look at it. Everyone be careful out there. Anything can happen at any time
crotchitymedic1986 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I feel sad for the driver of the fire engine, he will live with those images the rest of his life. I imagine he/she will be charged with vehicular homicide, and will have a long legal battle to endure.
cynical_as_hell Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Terrible....absolutely terrible
