Carteret County Sheriffs Detectives have arrested Angela Morado, 41, of 207 Ocean Spray Drive, Cape Carteret, was arrested on 03/16/09 and charged with three counts of felony “Obtaining Property by False Pretenses”.

Morado is accused of obtaining $18,345.02 in money and goods from the Wildwood Fire and Rescue Squad. Morado was employed as the administrative supervisor as well as an “EMT/Firefighter” for the department. The incidents occurred from October of 2006 through December of 2008. Morado was placed on a $1000.00 bond.

We had a local sheriffs deputy steal some equiptment from a local fire department and put it up for sale on Ebay. He probably would have gotten away with it, except one of the phone numbers he listed happened to be the Sheriffs office, and when a potential buyer called the number the Sheriff himself picked up the phone, and as they say the rest is history.

OK my bad ignored the name when I read. Guess I'm a male chauvenist pig that presumes all in EMS are men. But seeing they got arrested should have known it was a female.
