How's this for evolutionary theory: this thread has failed to prove itself worthy of continuation and has been selected for extinction.

Who are we to stand in the way of the natural order of things? :P

I thought the key principle of evolution was "survival of the fittest"... you know... that natural selection thing...

As a profession... we are responsible for doing our damnedest to save the weak links!!

Natural selection is only one vehicle for evolution. A Darwinian principle, it states that those best suited to their environments will survive to send their genes on to the next generation. The weak will just die out. (My EMT instructor used to always tell us..."sometimes you can save 'em, but sometimes you see Darwin's theory first-hand" :P )

Another is mutation--a change in a gene or chromosome that creates a new trait that is not found in earlier generations.

Genetic flow-- Random fluctuations in the frequency of the appearance of a gene in a small isolated population, presumably owing to chance rather than natural selection. (American Heritage Dictionary)

Genetic Drift--introduction of new genes in a population (from the same species) as a result of immigration.

Why does Creation and evolution have to be two different things. God could be natural ( Duu) and had all thing (evolve) in a (creative) way.How could a computer have been created from evolution without a creator. But computers have evolved. I believe there are evidences of a divine creator and are willing to discuss them openly.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
