Dustdevil Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Embry Riddle is the Harvard of aviation. Every bit as respected as the Air Force Academy. If I had it all to do over again, that's probably where I would want to go right out of high school.
FireMedic65 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I know a lad that is attending there now. Says it's intense and extremely hard. Lots of classroom and theory. Not just "alright this is a plane, lets go see what it can do." If I had the money, I would go there. I am not entirely interested in flying planes/jets though. I would love to, but would hop in a helicopter first.
CBEMT Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Cousin of mine graduated from Embry-Riddle. Started out flying executive private jets, and now works for Fed Ex. He's one of those rare people who can't wait to go to work.

ERDoc Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 There are several other 4 year degree programs including Daniel Webster College, Dowling College, SUNY Farmingdale and U of ND. I have heard that people that graduate form these programs get some flack from other pilots as being spoiled, rich kids (though I do not know if that is true).
