Just Plain Ruff Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Just read this in Readers Digest Springfield, Missouri: State lawmakers didn't sit still after a neo-nazi group adopted a stretch of highway in Springfield MO. They added an amendment to a bill, renaming that portion of the road after a prominent leader. The neo-nazi's will now be paying for the upkeep and cleaning of the Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel Memorial Highway. What a sense of humor.
Richard B the EMT Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 A historical note: Part of the reason the Nazis in Germany and the Fascists in Italy were initially popular in their respective countries in the 1930s, was, under the 2 parties, the trains finally ran on time.
itku2er Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Wonder what they think now when they pickup trash there poetic justice at its finest!
FireMedic65 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Not that I agree with anything they stand for or any other hate group does, because I don't! But isn't it just as wrong for others to look down upon them when they are doing something "good"... not to sound hypocritical or anything, but seriously.
Dustdevil Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 But isn't it just as wrong for others to look down upon them when they are doing something "good"... not to sound hypocritical or anything, but seriously. Yeah, I've always found it amusingly ironic when people hate hate groups.
Lone Star Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Yeah, I've always found it amusingly ironic when people hate hate groups. Don't hate the haters that hate the haters! (I'm so confused by all that!)
Just Plain Ruff Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Don't hate the haters that hate the haters! (I'm so confused by all that!) Isn't thiis type of behaviour what our soldiers and past soldiers went to war for? That's what you hear about all the time, Soldiers going to war to protect our freedoms. I don't agree with these types of people or their groups but I will allow them to do what they do (peacefully) if it allows me to peacefully express my views.
Jeepluv77 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Ruffems, well said. Peacefully is the operative word there. There are plenty of racists that no one even realizes are racist because they keep their mouths shut and I don't agree with them any more than I do a KKK member or neo-nazi. As long as they don't actually harm anyone then they really pose a bigger threat to themselves than to society. There isn't going to be a huge uprising against black people because some moron is walking around in a white sheet. However, that moron in the white sheet has put a target on their own back. Hence the term moron.
