OK.... On my fourth last day of practicum, my preceptor made me an offer.

If I could rattle off 6 ways to treat hyperkalemia in less than 1min he would let me go early. Keeping in mind this was my "intermediate" practicum (read: half way through my medic program) it was quite a challenge.... but I pulled it off.

So... Using the SPOILER feature see how you do with no research.

Unfortunatly..... The spoiler will not work with my puter (Too much security??? wtf?). But the ones I picked are all on P1 wiki anyway.

Try the spoiler if you can dave.... that way others can read the question without seeing the answer.

#4 is correct.... however I did not know that drug, so I supplemented it with a different drug.

So Mobey lets see how our education compares so far...

Of the top of my head

1. Sodium Bicarbonate

2. Calcium

3. Ventolin

4. Insulin

5. Lasix

6. Dialysis

For some reason I was thinking of glucagon as a treatment, but apparently it may be a factor in hyperkalemia.
