Off duty-helping out at MVA's

While driving down the highway, I saw a real nasty car vs car-head on MVA. I wanted to stop, my buddy said keep driving. I stopped anyway.

Just did MFR stuff- any of you folks still stop at car wrecks.?

Im pretty sure I am required by law to stop and if not then moraly I feel I have to stop.

If EMS is already on scene, no. If no emergency units are on scene, I stop, put on my ANSI vest; give aid and call it in if we're not in cell coverage.

Not unless it's serious and I witness it. It's to dangerous to stop in most locations anyway.

That's actually a good point- if you get plowed playing Ricky Rescue at an MVA without a vest (and possibly even with a vest), good luck to your survivors getting your PSOB benefits. Or even any regular life insurance you have.

Hope the chubby was worth it.
