akflightmedic Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I could not find the old threads and my search skills are failing me. Anyways, I have a couple people interested in the online/distance medic courses out of Texas or other states if available or known. Keep in mind, these guys already have experience and are quite knowledgeable in EMS already as they are paramedics in their home country. They simply wish to take a US course to get exposure to American EMS and to enhance their job chances by holding American certs. Thanks for your help guys. AK...
Kiwiology Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Texas seems to be the land of the cowboys when it comes to EMS mate; 624 hours is the minimum requirement to get a cert down there! Tech Pro offer online: http://www.techproservices.net/emtp_info.php TEEX is a patch factory for the Houston Fire Department, offers a 10 week course in Bryan: http://teexweb.tamu.edu/teex.cfm?pageid=training&area=teex&templateid=14&Division=ESTI&Course=EMS130
spenac Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 www.techproservices.net has a good Paramedic program and works with a lot of out of state/country people. They will have to do lots of research which is a good ideal rather than just sitting listening to lectures.
Dustdevil Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Ditto on TechProServices. Also worthy of consideration is http://www.trainingdivision.com/ . They have come a long ways since their start-up, and I can now recommend them without reservation.
