Where do they find this stuff? They would have done better reading EMS for Dummies. It might have been more accurate. :bonk:

Guess I'll miss this one as well, rather watch Monday Night Football with Bret Favre going for revenge against the Packers.

As noted...

OPA

Oropharyngeal Amplifier

Amplifier? Should I buy this brand, instead of a Martin, for my electric guitar?

Yellow Triage Tag

Immediate, entails life-threatening injuries.

Red Triage Tag

Delayed, entails non-life threatening injuries.

Let's be fair, folks. Perhaps this is the local protocol in San Fran, which is the reverse of what I have been taught, and use, in New York City and New York State.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have yellow for immediate, red for delayed, in their local protocols?

Richard, thanks to NIMS everything is pretty much streamlined and there is no questions about MCI stuff for the very reason of mutual aid from out of state departments that may be different. It's not a local quirk, it' stupidity again.

As I'm home sick with oinker's disease, I'm going to probably watch it so I can finally puke instead of just being nauseous, which will hopefully make me feel better...

Grass is dormant now, about time for the grass fire calls to start rolling in. I sent my DVR to record it, just because. I have prolly 80 hours of stuff I never watch. But, I always have the option of watching it.

You would think that they would have let their SFFD Technical Advisor tackle this glossary for them, even if they didn't let him do anything else. And if he's the one responsible for screwing it up, that is beyond epic fail!

As for the Triage tags, I could see that they were the standard METTAGs, nothing special.
