Since the reviews on the new show TRAUMA are not very good to say the least, If you were a producer what would do to make the most realistic EMS drama?

I just thougth this would be fun to do to see what you all thought you would like to add to make a REALISTIC EMS DRAMA.

nah terri, I'd go for the bachelorette and have an inclusion of hot flight medics for you to pick from how's that sound? Requires less drama and no background and well, you can provide the entertainment.

A reality show ALWAYS works best for misunderstood professions such as ours. I loved TLC's Paramedics, though a few EMTs were... mildly incompetent. ;)

Speaking of which, can't find the darn show on DVD anywhere, looks like they didn't release it...

Maybe an intubation of a 90 year old guy from a nursing home that should, but doesn't have a DNR. Guy in front of the unit partially pulls over on a corner, driver passes, truck coming the other way, swerves, thingy the BVM hooks to pops off, vomit sprays up all over the guy doing CPR.

Terr, as you are always talking about trying to find a flight paramedic to date, would you date anyone like Trauma's Rabbit?

Paramedics was very good.

I thought Third Watch was good as it focused on Fire, EMS, and Law which kept one topic from getting too overplayed, although EMS got underplayed as the show went on.

A hospital based EMS show might be good because when they can't write about the outside world, let the crew work in the ED... plenty of drama there and plenty of hot nurses and doctors for the medics to hook up with for the romantic side of the show.

In it's final 2 years, instead of being an attempt at balanced Fire/PD/EMS storylines, it de-evolved into a PD show, where EMS, and even Fire, became minor secondary storylines.
