This is why people you turn your truck off, lock it and take the keys. It's not that long, and the vast majority of hospitals won't let you stay running in the bay anymore (at least in this area). This happened in our area a few years ago - heck one even was stolen from the station because they had no bay and they knew the keys were always left in the ignition. Fortunately it was only a BLS rig, but still...Not a good day having a criminal or mental patient running around with narcs and other fun meds (some will try anything seeing if it will get them high - I've seen some bizarre things). Anyhow, that's just my opinion, but keep those meds and everybody safe !

While administrators said they are glad to get their ambulance back intact, Stewart's will now review its policies.

What policies? Apparently they have none. Administrative FAIL!

In the winter, ambulances are often kept running in order to maintain a comfortable temperature inside.

You can leave a vehicle running without leaving it unlocked and the keys in the ignition, morons.

I just love how people act completely shocked that this kind of thing could possibly happen every time it does. It's only been going on for like fifty years now. :rolleyes2:
