Hello,

Argyll Robertson Pupil (Prostitute's Pupil).....'accommodates but dose not react' =) Most common cause Syphilis...hence the name. Other causes I can not recall off hand.

It gets people really trashed and they think their name is banana! :D :D: :D :D

NMDA receptor antagonist, it "dissassociates" the electrial signals between the brain and the spinal cord causing patients to have significant issues with perception.

One of our ICPs explained to a patient "the pain is there but you just don't care about it" truer words were never spoken!

To prevent dynamic hyperinflation (gas trapping) which can cause barotrauma and possibly a pneumothorax (including tension).

If I have a kid with sinus arrhythmia how worried do I need to be? (Nice, easy one!)

Yup I'd also be worried about causing PEA

To be fair, the difficulty has ranged from the first question on "On You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" to Final Jeopardy level with most of the questions somewhere in the first round of Jeopardy.

Want a challenge JP? Probably rarely seen in emergency medicine but possible.....what is JET? (That's how it is usually referred to as.)

Since it doesn't sound related to neuro (or at least the half covered so far), blood and lymph, or OMM, I'm going to have to take the physical challenge.
