I was looking at an unsolicited Fire Service training magazine e-mail, and found a term I had never seen or heard of prior.

Has anyone had experience with the term "First Receiver", meaning the ER Triage staff? The term does makes sense, after all, as EMS, PD and FD are considered "First Responders" (used here as a generic term for "the ones who respond first" to a scene or incident, with no intent of insult to anybody, no matter which group they are in).

Nope, could be the triage nurse, or a doctor if you're bringing in a notification, makes sense but I don't see many times where this terminology would be applied.
