I have a large pickle jar of $1 coins.. The local barber always gives me change in dollar coins. Mostly Kennedy coins, but some of the newer ones. Tonight, I bought a pack of smokes with a two dollar bill, three dollar coins and two pennies. The girl says, but you have a bunch of $20's, I can't accept these if you have something else? I asked to be shown a policy on types of payment. She showed me a sign that said "Cash, Credit or Debit. No checks". I said, it's cash. Grabbed the pack, and said.. $502, eh? You got it. She'll never speak to me again, but her's is a friendship that won't be much of a loss to me.

$2 bill is much like the $1 coin seems mainly collectors have them. I sometimes ask for both and then spend them. I actually have had some young clerks call for a manager because they thought I was passing fake money. I really wish the $1 coin would catch on.

I love the $1 coins, especially when the cashier at the food place on campus handed them out like they were quarters, twice. I didn't catch the second time, but I caught the first time and prompted her to recount. If ya miss it twice, sorry, but thanks for the 75 cents!
