Octoparrot Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I have roughly 2.5 months until I start NCTI's paramedic program in MA. I've been a basic since 2008, working actively since then for the most part. I am currently wrapping up A&P. Now, I have spoken with some of my medic level co-workers and they suggest I get a headstart on the content since my schedule allows this to some extent. I would love to hear some suggestions, maybe they are dead wrong but I need all the help I can get! Thanks!
HERBIE1 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 My opinion- brush up on the basics. Make sure you have a firm handle on the all the BLS stuff- it will make paramedic school a lot easier. Buy the books for paramedic school, read ahead, but be careful to not get carried away.
DwayneEMTP Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I assume you mean a full length, college level A&P course, right? Not one of the short classes that they often offer to medics and hosemonkeys? What other college level courses do you have? Does your course require A&P or is that something that you did on your own? Hard to tell you brother what would be a good fit to begin studying without having some idea where you're at now..see? Welcome to the City! We're glad to have you! Dwayne
