I'll tell you what you need... This:

Untitled-2.jpg

The famed Trauma II by Dyna-Med. It's not set up for an EMS application, it's a first aid station. You can treat anything from a paper cut to a broken leg with it, stocked it for use at a day camp over the summer.

Don't hold me to this, but I think FDNY, and the FDNY EMS, use Iron Duck brand bags.

Yes, the fluid impervious bags. I've purchased over runs and mistake bags at an Iron Duck outlet sale.

Dyna-Med Trauma 2 box???

WOW, that takes me back to 1977, when I purchased the Trauma ONE model, had it survive an ambulance crash in better shape than I did, only to be stolen a few months later.

  • 3 months later...
  • 4 weeks later...
  • 1 year later...

Those of you that use soft-sides, what do you have? We're trying to put together some options for the powers that be.

This would be meds and med administration supplies only, not a dual-purpose first-in bag. Being able to keep meds in their original packaging (ie boxes) is a definite plus, since we exchange them prior to expiration at the hospital.

I should mention that we use a Pelican box at my other job, but I don't think this job would go for it.

We use and I will only ever use Iron Duck, their warranty is second to none and we have had to send our bags in more than once and they always end up just sending us a brand new one at no additional cost! Here is our main carry bag: http://www.ironduck.com/ems-products/ems-bags/trauma/ultra-sofbox-plus-32325

here is the one we use, we used to have Plano 727 / 747 then we went to soft pack similar to the iron duck and now to these

Haha... we still rock the Planos as our medboxes.

I'd like to get like the Pelican 1600, but I don't think we're going to be switching what we've got right now anytime soon.

My favorite manufacturer: www.propak.net. As I understand it, Drew was the designer for Pacific, at one time.

Regards, Jim

ETA: his mini med kit (MD-01) with RSI meds fits in the pouch in his tube kit (ME-02) on top of a surgical cric kit. ;) A twist off lock on the mini-med, another on the pouch > DEA double lock. His protection for amps is the best I've seen. Jim
