Precepting is a verb, it does denote that you actually do something.

Sometimes doing "nothing" is doing enough/everything. As a student and your first year of street medicine you'll likley over treat everyone untill the point where you develope critical thinking and confidence in your practice.

Plus, the BP off the monitor might have been inaccurate. The patient was moderate obese; 300lbs. Manual cuffs on obese patients. Nothing wrong with O2; withholding it when its indicated is wrong. However, I wasn't there; the story is not complete. All the best...
