I work in rural Oklahoma our transports are usually 50-60min. I usually do my paperwork on the way back and on the way to the facility try to talk to my patient and do assessments.

Putting this in only for fun, as the thread has petered out anyway...

Current time via ground, around 18hrs...by air during daylight, about two hours, after dusk/before dawn, no transport options possible...

Sorry, but in this crowd of providers I have to trump with the distance card as I'm sure as hell not going to do it with brains...

Our call area is way closer than all that...farthest we go in our own coverage area is about 30-40 minutes...though we assist with calls outside of that. We never transport too far...the service has a 100 mile tether. Our hospital is critical access so we don't have anything that can keep those critical patients, our closest higher level facility is about 5 hours away. All our patients grow wings and get flown out.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
