Happiness Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 You know it isn't sex that makes a marriage work, but it is taking the time to make love to someone so that they make you and you make them feel like they are the most important person in the world. I do agree with Dwyane in this, but knowing him and how he talks about his wife he dosnt just have sex with Babs. When you give yourself to some completely that is when all of the other aspects of the marriage fall into place, like communication (also very important) and just plain affections. We would like to think this guy is an asshole, and a coward but really when it comes down to it we have no idea what his life at home is like, and is he just acting like a gorrilla because there are "young bucks" around to gloat to. Its just like the "biggest fish story" I am a true believer in these senerio's there is always something more to the story. just my 2 cents worth have a good day 1
DFIB Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Holy shit DFIB, I'm going to guess at a philosophy degree? Poking fun, but man, outstanding answer...(Had to minimize the porn in the other window for a sec while I was reading it. Conflicting pleasures you know...) Dwayne No philosophy degree but human nature and our tendency to self destruction has always been facinating to me.
FormerEMSLT297 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 What do all married men who cheat have in common ??? They all think they will never get caught.....!!!!!! It is a dangerous game to play, especially nowadays with all the technology, and internet, and phones, etc. You use a hotel 40 miles away, and think you are good, until a neighbor happens to have car trouble and checks into the same hotel and catches you. Or you get a photo RADAR or red light ticket in an area you have no business being in, or there is a violent crime in the area where the hotel you use is, and the detectives review video surveilence and what to talk to you and your "wife" about what you saw, or whatever... Why not just marry the correct person and be happy. Or do not get married and play the field as much as you want.
Lone Star Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Why not just marry the correct person and be happy. Or do not get married and play the field as much as you want. Unfortunately, prospective spouses don't come with a 'compatibility list' to ensure that it's a perfect fit. I was married once, and found out within the first 18 months that she was a lot like Will Rogers (Never met a man she didn't like; the problem was, she 'liked' them better when I wasn't home!). Sincethen, I seem to find women who either want to make me 'pay' for the sins of their exes, or who can't stop playing their stupid school girl games .....(stupid 'tests' to see how faithful the guy is by having their friend make a pass, sleeping with someone else out of 'curiosity'...you get the idea)... Hell, I've been dumped because they thought I wasn't 'emotional enough'.....
DwayneEMTP Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I was listening to Howard Stern, and they had on one of those companies that sends in hot chicks to flirt with husbands to see if they can get them to cheat? And to same tactic used on wives of course.... Anyway, he was asking who the biggest segment of his business was and the guy said that it was husbands wanting to investigate their mistresses, to see if they could trust them to be faithful before they left their wives for them! Man...it's a crazy world.... Dwayne

Kaisu Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 if the sex is good then all of the other parts are running on all cylinders too..... Now there is the difference between men and women... From a female perspective, if the important things are good, then the sex is good. If I am being treated with respect, feel heard and valued, then sex is great. If my husband ignores me, tries to force me to do things his way, calls me names, negates my opinions etc... guess what happens when he wants sex?
Happiness Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 And again Karma is a bitch http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44732993/ns/health-mens_health/
Richard B the EMT Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 If my husband ignores me, tries to force me to do things his way, calls me names, negates my opinions etc... guess what happens when he wants sex?Ever heard of a Greek Literature story about a lady named Lysistrada (spelling?)? Got the wives and girlfriends of all the warriors on both sides of a conflict to withhold sex until the men stopped fighting.
DwayneEMTP Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Now there is the difference between men and women... From a female perspective, if the important things are good, then the sex is good. If my husband ignores me, tries to force me to do things his way, calls me names, negates my opinions etc... guess what happens when he wants sex? Not different at all. I think you misunderstood the sentence that you quoted. It doesn't say that good sex makes a good relationship, but that good sex is an excellent barometer for the relationship as a whole. Sex is open, and honest, with no place to hide. A good sex life demands respect and excellent communication. It's as emotionally exposed as we can ever get. If the sex is good then it's a really safe bet that the rest of the relationship is healthy as well. If it's not good, or not often, then it's time to sit down for a long heart to heart to figure out what's broken. CM, still operating from the stereotype of men that says that if they've got a warm place to get off that all is well with the world...We're not all like that... Dwayne
