Just Plain Ruff Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I went last time. INCREDIBLE. There was a cadaver used for IO's, pneumos and other assorted procedures A fully dissected body of a lady showing all the major structures of the body, A fully pulled out spinal cord with attached nerve tracts and roots. AWESOME Intubation lab with many of the newest tools, cpr with the newest tools and two scenario sessions. Also there was a anatomy lab of the brain and the heart and lungs. Never thought a heart could get to the size of a small football but they had it there. the airway challenge was awesomely won by AnthonyM83 on this site. He was awesome. If you can get there I strongly urge it. I brought anthony out from california on a darn near free trip. Depending on how far out to book the flight, I might be able to get you there. You would be responsible for the car rental and hotel. Contact me if you know you can get the time off. I can only help one person get there. Michael
BEorP Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I'm glad we haven't worn out our welcome yet! I have gone the last three years and have found it to be a valuable learning experience each time. There is nowhere else where you can spend a day getting taught by emergency medicine specialists and residents who all have a real interest in EMS while also getting hands on experience (especially for just $40). Oh and lunch is always great as well.
Doczilla Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 Registration opens on Nov 1. Several new scenarios, changeup in the intro lecture, lots of stuff to tickle the brain and damage your calm. 'zilla
HERBIE1 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I assume the classes are different each day? Is there a schedule of which classes are offered and when? Reason being I would be driving in the morning of the 7th and would probably miss everything until around noon.
Doczilla Posted October 30, 2011 Author Posted October 30, 2011 It's a one day class, we just offer it twice. 'zilla It's a one day class, we just offer it twice. 'zilla 1

Doczilla Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 12/7 is full. Some slots left for 12/8.
DwayneEMTP Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Man, it's filling up fast! I would love to come but won't know for a few days yet if I return to work before then or not... I'll keep my fingers crossed. How many from the City are going this year? Dwayne
BEorP Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I'll be there on the 8th. Hopefully others will be joining me! Dwayne, it might be best to snag a spot now. Double check on the registration page, but I think they will refund if you cancel with enough notice if your availability changes. 1
