Yeah, that's what they try to tell us. The problem is we are not LEOs so once PD does leave, they are no longer in custody. If the pt wants to leave and has the capacity to do so, there is nothing we can do to stop them. It's just a way for them to say they still have the pt without having to post an officer in the ER.
