We use disposable metal as well.

I am confident I can clean them adaquetly. Would I put it in my mouth? Of course not. But it is psycological reasons, not disinfectant reasons. I use silverware at restaurants.... how is that any different?

No kidding amigo. Can you imagine how much effort the parolee or migrant worker doing the dishes exerts? I wonder if they ever sneeze of spit in the dishwater.

We would be better off eating with the blades.
