Vorenus Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 So, I want to buy Mosby`s PHTLS. Following my search on Amazon, I`ve found two books, both stating to be the seventh version: 1. http://www.amazon.de/PHTLS-Prehospital-Trauma-Life-Support/dp/0323065023/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1322599874&sr=8-2 2. http://www.amazon.de/PHTLS-Prehospital-Trauma-Life-Support/dp/0323065031/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322599874&sr=8-1 I figure the second one`s the military version. Anyone can tell me wether it`s totally different to the first civilian one, or wether the military content is just added (it has about 150 pages more, too). Because in that case, I`d rather buy the second one.

Which one do you want, more content or less? But the 2nd one. Plus you are really only talking 11 more euros to get the 2nd one.
Vorenus Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 From Amazon: "Tailored expressly for the military environment, this book diverges in the last 12 chapters to reflect the special considerations of the military." Seems to me like it`s only the last 12 chapters that differ from the "normal" text... Guess I`m gonna take the second one, as there`s everything in it.

It seems to me from the description that the military section is basically book number 2. So you get book number 1 with the PHTLS stuff for non-military medics and then start part 2 of the book and learn military style shit and stuff like that, maybe you can blow stuff up? It's like getting 2 books in one and the price is right, just 11 Euros more, that's 15 pages per euro.
Vorenus Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Sounds great, gonna get the military-style one then. Thanks, bro.
