But Mike you know MTV will film them and they will become rich and famous. Being young and having a kid is the in thing. :bonk:

Sadly child will probably be raised by the grandparents so this young boy and girl can pursue fun errrr I mean education.

Hard to tell. My mother was 13 when I was born. Clearly, I was not exactly...planned. She worked her butt off and still does to this day in spite of multiple health problems. True, they may have some rough times, but the situation is not totally hopeless.

Unless it is posted on another string, or was edited out, where did the information that the OP is 16 come from? All I have read is that he is a new dad.

Richard,

It used to be in his signature line until earlier today when he edited it. I believe he had said at some other point he was only 16 as well.

There are exceptions to every rule. I have family that did the same. But the reality today is most babies having babies really think mom and dad will finish raising them and the new baby. They think it is a game based on how TV portrays everything.

I'm not so sure. Calling this idea a "rule" and applying it broadly to every situation or even most situations is probably not accurate and certainly not productive IMHO.

True you are. Sorry for such generalization. I hope the OP and the baby mama are mature and do things right.
