Fenta Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Please clarify Summer Biathlon, am familiar with winter Olympic biathlon. Summer biathlon is a minority sport in Germany. We run optionally on summer skis or with sneakers. The rules are similar to the normal biathlon. I prefer to run with sneakers, because I had in 2007 a torn ACL on Duty and have some problems since the ACL replacement with rotation movements.
Roby777 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Shooting, hunting, boating, fishing, camping, and now...ems
Stubs Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Technical Rescue!!! I call it my Hobby. I have my own tower in the back yard to keep up and adapt new rigging skills. I honestly have more Gear than our Rescue Trailer when it comes to ropes and rigging. On top of that, Camping, Boy Scouts and anything outdoors!
BushyFromOz Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 EMS is not a hobby. Shit? Really??? Ive wasted all these years.....
Richard B the EMT Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Obviously, some here consider EMS a hobby, others do not.
medicgirl05 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I think if it is your career and your hobby you may burn out quickly.
paramedicmike Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 A hobby is a leisure activity. Do the people we serve really need someone who treats their care as a leisurely pursuit? EMS and health care are not hobbies. It is a professional activity that deserves professional attention.
