It's the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. HIPAA. After all the classes I've sat through on HIPAA, like twice a year, for the past nine or ten years, I find it annoying when ppl abbreviate it incorrectly.

I find it annoying when a simple error is pointed out, apologized for, and then someone comes along and feels the need to point it out again.

Before I can accept your criticism, I'd have to respect you enough to value your opinion.

Ok, this has gone on long enough. I think it's time that we let this baby just cry itself to sleep. Each time that Hippa or HIPAA or Hipaa or HipAA or however anyone decides to spell it, everyone knows what you are talking about.

I think that we need to move on and let this one go to sleep and if we leave it alone it will sleep until someone has another HIPAA question.

Nighty night. Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite.

I find it hilarious that we're still discussing whether an agency violated a privacy rule that they don't have to follow.

Let me spell this out again.

Non-billing = not a covered entity = HIPAA doesn't apply = impossible to violate something that doesn't apply.
