I'm a current ems student and a friend who's an emt said I might not be able to get certified because of the illness. I've tried looking online for a while about it but haven't been able to get an answer as to whether or not it's true.

There is no way anyone on an anonymous internet forum can answer that question. They only way to get a real answer is to contact your state EMS office.

I agree with ERDoc. There are many variables so it would be best to contact the state.

Simple answer is yes it is possible. Now the hard part. With all the variables involved the only truly accurate answer would be to do as the above told you.

Might have more hoops to jump through. But as stated with everyone else above. Consult the state ems department

LIFE is a terminal illness...

It's also an interesting magazine to read at the doctors office or waiting for your car to get fixed while the mechanics point at you through the glass partition between the workshop and waiting room as they laugh at you
