What kind of CVA produces bilateral pain?

I have seen this once and it was a brain stem stroke. When he was assessed both by myself and by the doctors here everything was equal. This pt even had a cat scan but apperently they do not scan the brain stem and they found the stroke by MRI, and only at the persistance of the family. The only real symptom with this pt was his emotions, they went to the extreme of bursting into tears for no reason.

The fact that he survived this stroke is amazing and his deficits to date are that he is cold most of the time and he has to be on happy pills to level his emotions out.

Oh didn't see the pain word just bilateral, I honestly dont remember if pain was a factor in this pt.

Could the light touch sensation be heightened?

I once saw a patient with all of the symptoms but presented severe pain to the lightest touch in all four extremities. Her MOI was falling off a horse and hitting the ground with her forehead. Sounds very similar. I simply thought she had fractured her neck.
