Do ya all dress up on your services when you run Halloween? My service allows it and it sounds pretty fun...but we still have to be look the part. So I was just wondering, if you do...what are you? Do you guys thing its a bad thing that to do it?

Absolutely never would I dress up while on duty, especially Halloween night.

Personally I think it is a bad corporate policy to allow it.

Every Halloween that I've ever worked I've dressed up like a paramedic.

I dress up like one hell of an EMTat my home while sitting standby! I look really impressive, cheap with the candy though.

One year, while working at the hospital, one of the radiological techs came over to do an x-ray on a 5 year old. He was dressed as Death.

He freaked the kid out, and then the parents got pissed and then Bill was asked to go home and change. Not sure why his manager didn't tell him that his outfit was inappropriate for the venue.

I also agree that costumes in EMS is silly and not good practice.
