So I have seen these little knives that can be stored in your boot or around your leg called last ditch knives.Does anyone know if these are legal to carry in NJ ? I know EMT's dont have legal reasons to arm themselves even though I'm hoping that day will come.I've tried searching google for knife laws but it refers more to switch blades and larger knives like daggers and stuff.Any help is greatly appreciated.

hmmm, I think that to choose your most appropriate weapon you really need to ask yourself, "What is it exactly that I am compensating for?"

This would be a question best posed to a NJ LEO.

In the spirit of inviting discussion why do you hope that the day will come that EMS will be able to arm themselves?

Odd thing to say........maybe you are in the wrong field of work.....want to carry a side arm?....join the cops or the military...they give them to you there.......

we have enough responsibility having medications of addiction let alone a piece of equipment that is designed to kill.

and I have no problems with people owning guns, have a few myself.....but in no way would I advocate carrying at work....
