Richard B the EMT Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 False report, or the lost person found their way home on their own? Quote
island emt Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Not sure: We were called because someone found a walker on a trailhead to one of the cliff walks. After 2 hours of freezing our arses off along with several deputies we found no evidence of anyone on the cliffs or in the ocean surf below. Either some kid took grandma's walker out to play and left it or someone who is unknown went for a holiday swim with the fishes. Nobody reported missing at this time ???? Quote

island emt Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Yep. There's a bottle of 40 yo single malt thats been getting old for a long while. We will definatly toast in the new year. Went in yesterday afternoon and packed up my journals & books from my office. Tossed a bunch of papers in the shredder pile and laughed at a new unfunded mandate from the state. SHORT. Quote
paramedicmike Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Six hours and counting, Ed. You on duty tonight? One last shift before then end? Or are you on terminal leave? Quote
island emt Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 sitting here hoping all the amateurs behave themselves until midnight. My relief comes in at 23:45 It's been a long strange voyage over the past 4 decades. Spent a few hours today cleaning out my office & packing up all my old teaching materials and journals. Found AAOS volume 1 orange book on the end of the dusty bookshelf, along with just about every version published since. Quote
