Emergency Laughter is 1.99 for kindle. There are some other books that are "related" when you search for it. I haven't read it yet. Maybe I will borrow it....

Some classics from over the years:

EMT-Beyond the lights and sirens by Pat Ivy (there is also a sequel to it)

Any book by Grayson or Canning

Paramedic by Paul Shaprio

Trauma Junkie by Janice Hudson

Shock Trauma by Pat Jensen (it's fiction written as nonfiction and a bit sappy but I enjoyed it)

Thanks! I'll have to check these out. Anyone read Devin Kerins' books? I saw mixed reviews on his first two "EMS" and it looks like he put a new one out that no one has reviewed yet, so I'm a little hesitant.

I'll second or third the Peter Canning books - 'Paramedic: On the Front Lines of Medicine' is still my favorite in the genre. Read "Into the Breach" and wasn't a big fan. I'll also recommend Devin's books, they were hillarious and unapologetically irreverent (hopefully you're into that). Didn't realize he had a new one.

I just started reading The Emergency Monologues. The first few stories have been funny. It's a good book for days on the road as the stories are short so you can squeeze in a chapter or two between calls.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
